Solihull Women’s Stride Squad CIC
A community built on connection, kindness, and the strength that comes from walking side by side.
What began as two women meeting on a Men’s Walking and Talking walk has grown into one of Solihull’s fastest-growing community groups for women. From that first conversation came a shared realisation: women needed their own safe space.
A space to breathe.
A space to feel seen.
A space to talk — or not talk.
A space where life’s weight feels a little lighter.
A space without judgement.
A space where you can arrive exactly as you are.
A space where you’re not just welcomed, but genuinely looked after.
In May 2025, Solihull Women’s Stride Squad was born.
Since then, the community has grown to over 2,600 women, with hundreds joining us regularly. Every Wednesday evening at 7pm, women meet at the big gates on New Road, where Malvern and Brueton Park meet. Some come for company, some come for quiet, some come for routine — but all come for belonging.
To help new or nervous walkers feel comfortable from the moment they arrive, they introduced Stride Squad Buddies — friendly, approachable women who welcome everyone with warmth and reassurance. For many, that first hello is what makes them stay.
Now operating as a Community Interest Company (CIC), everything we do is guided by one simple purpose:
to support the women of Solihull through connection, compassion, and community.
Whether you’re rebuilding, thriving, overwhelmed, lonely, curious, or simply craving an hour to yourself — you are welcome here.
